Far away from the glitz and glamour of professional football, The 4-3-3 Press (Sunday is for football) offers an insight into the unscripted drama, blood, sweat, tears, halftime oranges, and cold nights at training, as well as the brotherhood that's formed as these boys mould into adults. These images linger as a testament to the magic spirit of the game and delve into the raw essence of Sunday league football. The sense of belonging with a handful of testosterone thrown in, creates a unique sanctuary for these young men to take the field in community league football every Sunday.

From one side of the white line to the other. The series is a love letter to the beautiful game. It’s for the players who show up late or hungover, or perhaps both. I reluctantly decided to hang up the boots at the end of the last football season. Same team, same club, but a different role. I gained a fresh perspective on the team I'd spent the better part of a decade playing in.

Behind the vintage jerseys and muddy changerooms, are a bunch of 17 blokes all with their own stories, and motivations, who give their all for each other, week in, week out, even if it means a two-foot tackle in the dying stages of an amateur league match, deep in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

THANK YOU TO THE GLEN EIRA EAGLES FOR ALLOWING ME TO CREATE THIS PROJECT I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS I LOVED MAKING IT.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:

ANDY, ARCHIE, ARIEL, ATHAN, DIEGO, ETHAN, HARRY, JAMIE, KOSTIA, LUKAS, MAKS, MARC, MAX, MICHAEL, NICK, PAT, PETAR, PETER, YIANNI, YONATAN, AND MOST OF ALL JOHN + VICTOR (AND TO THE AMAZING FAMILIES OF THE GLEN EIRA EAGLES)
